Blogging Guest Posts

Do you need to increase traffic to your website? Interested in guest blogging for real estate and personal finance blogs?



I decided to open up my blog to others to provide my readers with diverse, interesting and consistent stories.  In order to be a guest writer on my real estate blog there are stringent guidelines that you must follow for your article to be approved.  Since people reach out to me to post on my blog, I figured I would post the requirements here.


The primary guest blogging guideline is that the article must provide unique value to my readers.  If you feel that you have what it takes to provide a premium, engaging and unique article then please keep reading.  This is not only an Orlando guest blogging opportunity, but a nationwide blogging opportunity depending on the subject.


According to Inman, "If done correctly, guest blogging is an excellent way for real estate agents and brokers to generate lots of buyer and seller leads, and it’s also a reliable tool for farming your niche."


Please make sure the article is detailed and does not contain a lot of fluff.  Your article must be high quality and meaningful that provides expertise related to the following industries:

  • Real Estate
  • Personal Finance
  • F.I.R.E – Financial Independence Retire Early
  • Home Loans
  • Housing
  • Apartments
  • Real Estate Investing
  • Home Maintenance
  • Home Decor 


Your Post Will Be Denied:  Keep in mind that I am a REALTOR.  I will not allow subjects that deter people from using REALTORs or subjects that are conflicts of interest, competitive towards real estate agents or brokers or companies, or gives a negative undocumented view on anything real estate related. 


Attention-Grabbing Headlines: Engaging headlines bring in more traffic.  Remember that users are scrolling through lots of information.  Your information needs to stand out from the crowd.  Use a headline analyzer tool to make sure that the headline will grab attention.  You also need to make sure to provide me with the sub-headings.


Know My Audience: The content must be geared towards my site’s audience.  The audience for my site includes people that are looking to buy a home, sell a home, or rent a house, condo, townhome, and even an apartment.  Potential subjects include:

  • How to Save Money for the Down Payment on a House
  • How to Get Out of Debt Fast
  • How to Build Your Credit Score
  • How to Find Deals on Apartment Rentals
  • How to Pay Off Your House Fast
  • How to Have a Stress Free Moving Day
  • Decorating Ideas for Your New Place
  • Should I Rent or Own a Home 
  • How to Get Approved for a Home Loan


I will not accept any article that promotes a product or service. You can include a brief bio and a hyperlink to your website in the article’s signature.  Make sure to use the word “street or path” somewhere in your article that way I know you’ve read my guidelines.


Your article must be 100% original!  No duplicate or spun content will be allowed.  Also, the article will not be published if there are any grammar and spelling errors.  The article must be readable.  You can use online software like Grammarly to make sure that it reads well.  If I have to go through the article to make suggestions and edits then your article will be denied.


You must be the original author and link to your personal website or blog in the signature.  I will not accept articles from SEO and article writing companies. 


Word Count is Important:  Real Estate articles with 1,800-1,900 words get more traffic and engagement.  Your goal should be to submit an article with as many words as possible while providing value and not being fluffy.  My requirement is a minimum of 1,100 words and the article must cite sources to a minimum of 4 backlinks to high authority sites such as Wikipedia. 


Images Used in the Article:  Images are just as important as the word content.  I read somewhere that the best articles have at least 7 photos.  My requirement is at least 4 non-copyrighted photos and/or graphics.  You will need to provide proof that you own the rights to the photos.


The best way to ensure that you have the right to the image is to take the picture yourself or create graphics on Canva.  If you must use a stock photo try sites like TheHungaryJPEG, CreativeMarket, or DepositPhotos, because they give you full commercial license for purchased photos. 


After the article is published you are obligated to make sure that the article generates high-quality traffic.  You have just as much interested as I do in getting traffic to the article. 


Keywords Optimized:  I am all for getting traffic to your site based on keywords, but do not continually repeat the same keywords over and over in the article. 


Also, use a keyword tool like Google Adwords Keyword Planner (it’s free) to make sure that you use low competition keywords.  It will be easier for your article to get traffic if you use keywords such as “your mortgage online” (low competition) instead of keywords such as “home refinance rates” (high competition).  The high competition keywords will be used by large bloggers and you will not have the leverage to outrank them.


Make sure to save the name of your images and graphics as the keywords that you are using.


Promote the Blog Post:  You will need to post the article on a minimum of 4 relevant premium websites and/or social media pages (the more the better).  Please send me the links within 30 days of the article being posted or your article will be removed.


Engage with Readers:  You need to contribute to my blog’s community.  You must post comments and respond to blog comments on your article’s page.


Active Hyperlinks:  There is nothing more frustrating than clicking on a link in an article and it doesn’t work!  All hyperlinks in your article must work at all times.  At any time if a hyperlink is broken or the information is irrelevant your article will be removed.

Notes:  Once the article is posted on my real estate site I own the rights to the content.  Please do not reuse the content or post on other sites. Although I own the article you will be held liable for any unauthorized content and images.
